NOT sleepy

(Sometime around 2-3 pm)
Mommy: Bryan, let’s go to the room and take a nap.
Bryan: Don’t want nap.
Mommy: You must be sleepy…
Bryan: Not sleepy. Wanna watch television.
Mommy: OK

(a few minutes later)
Mommy: Bryannnnnn….
Bryan: Zzzzzzzz

My Beary Friends

As I’m the only child in the family, my playmates are my Daddy, Mommy, Yi Po, Kung Kung, Po Po, Sam Yi Po, Har Dey and my many Mai-mais.

Sometimes when they are doing “boring” things like wash dishes, do laundry, I will play with my other friends.

See? My beary friends and I are wearing helmets like the soldiers in “The Grand Old Duke of York”

Computer geek??

Do you know that I can find all the alphabets on the keyboard and type them in sequence? I can also spell and type my name B-R-Y-A-N and my current favorite toy B-U-S.

I can also maneuver the computer mouse and do a left click to choose my favorite YouTubes and replay them.

Damai bought a VTECH Interactive Computer for me some time ago, and I call it “Bryan’s computer”. I’ll ask Daddy to bring it out when Daddy’s working on his laptop, and Mommy’s browsing the Internet with her Netbook.

LingLingMaiMai calls these pictures “Laptops for PapaBear, MamaBear & BabyBear”

Little Sunny Water

My playschool concert will be held on December 6!
And since early July, we've been rehearsing for the concert......

Aunty Shirley told Mommy that for our baby class, we will be doing 2 singing performances; Little Sunny Water & DoReMi. She also mentioned that I can sing the whole song and do the movements to the song. Since then, Mommy, Daddy, Yi Po, Po Po have been pestering me to perform Little Sunny Water.

Mommy did 2 recordings of Little Sunny Water the other day so that the Mai Mais can see how well I can sing now.

LITTLE SUNNY WATER (lyrics)

Little sunny water, sleeping in a corner,
Wake up wake up wash your face,
And do the bumble shake.

Oh, shake it to the right and shake it to the left,
Point to the east, and point to the west,
And point to the one that you like BEST!

Mommy: We hope Bryan will not experience stage fright on that day.
GO THERE!! GO THERE!!

RE: Expensive monthly hair cut

Before I turned 2, Aunty Liza (hairstylist) at Great Eastern Mall will charge me RM20 for my hair cut but for the past few times (since I don't look 2 anymore) it's RM 25. Kung Kung says he can have 3 haircuts for the same price in Seremban, and Har Dey 2 haircuts at his regular hair salon. But both Mommy and Daddy say it's worth the money coz' it's not easy to manage a squirming and protesting toddler, much less get a decent haircut. I used to bawl my head off and refuse to wear the "cape" which actually makes things worse coz' the cut hair will fall onto and into my T-shirt, my pants and all over me. At one time, Mommy replaced the "cape" with a cloth diaper or a bath towel to minimize my discomfort. And the hair salon comes with a VCD player and kiddy rides so Mommy will bring my favorite Mickey Mouse Clubhouse disc to distract me from the noise and the clip clip clip from the many scissors Aunty Liza has in her little black bag slung across her waist. During my last hair cut, Mommy and Daddy were very proud of me coz' I didn't even squeak a word of protest. They say "yappari seicho shita ne" (which means he has grown up) and Aunty Liza and kakak praised me for being such a good boy.

Look how well I behaved I was during my hair cut. Mind you, it took quite a looooooong time.

Mommy: We tried to bring him to other places like QuikCut which charge fixed price of RM12 (or was it RM15??), and these salons are equipped with kiddy rides etc., but Bryan refused to step inside, much less have a hair cut. Oh well, looks like we're stuck with Aunty Liza at Great Eastern Mall for some time... hope she doesn't leave the hair salon soon though...

LLMM (aka Ling Ling Mai Mai)

My LLMM has returned to France after spending 2 weeks with us.
It was a pity she had to go back on 1st June coz' my school holidays started on 1st June itself.
LLMM was complaining that she couldn't spend much time with me coz' after coming back from school, I'll be tired, have something for lunch and after that, will have my afternoon nap. And if I don't have enough sleep, I'll be cranky until my Daddy and Mommy comes back, and refused to eat my dinner. Daddy and Mommy will quickly finish their dinner, and bring me home.
Mommy said she has to let LLMM know my school schedule so that LLMM can arrange to visit us during that time.
Before LLMM left, another Mai Mai, Tiff Mai Mai came to KL for an interview (for the position of make-up trainer). She had to submit a recent portfolio of her works, so LLMM was Tiff Mai Mai's model for that day.

I was a good boy that day and didn't disturb the make-up brushes etc. even though they were within my reach. They laughed when I said, "MAI MAI BIG EYES"

Mommy said LLMM bears an uncanny resemblance to the celebrity DJ "Serena C".

LLMM, if you are here and not so far away - you could be a local celebrity too!

I got rhythm, I got music...

In case I mention "wanna go JUSCO", I'm actually referring to the play area at JUSCO shopping centers. Daddy and Mommy will make a once a week trip, or sometimes once a fortnight trip to JUSCO AU to have the car washed and stock up some groceries. It's near our house (just 5-10 minutes by car), there are plenty of car parks available, Daddy knows the car wash supervisor there and the crowd is not so bad compared to 1U or MidValley.

There's a routine we always follow: send the car for wash, then have lunch / dinner (depending on the time) at the BBQ Chicken restaurant (they fry the marinated chicken in olive oil which is Yummy!) but don't take the caffe latte or juices. According to Daddy and Mommy, the food menu is great but the drinks, not worth the price. So what Mommy does is fill my juice bottle with orange juice - although it's written "No Outside Food Allowed", I'm sure no one will deny a little boy his juice.... I wonder if they notice that Mommy finishes half of it though.

After our meal, we'll proceed to the 2nd floor where "JUSCO" is.
My sense of direction is fantastic - once I see the electrical / electronics department to my right, I will release my grip from Mommy / Daddy and run full speed towards JUSCO. I LOVE "driving" the green bus which Mommy said she will take a video of me in it the next time we're at JUSCO. And the fire truck. And the patrol car. Also, playing bowling. And playing the drums "taiko tataki" which I get to play with Daddy / Mommy. They will usually choose the Anpanman theme song first, and if they cleared the challenge level and given a free round, they will choose the Doraemon theme song.

Can you see how well I'm following Daddy's lead? I know when to beat fast, and slow down even without looking at Daddy's movement. I got rhythm, I got music, I got my drums, Who can ask for anything more?

After 30 minutes or so at JUSCO, we'll head down to the grocery department where I'll insist on sitting in the shopping trolley while Daddy and Mommy shops. Sometimes there'll be some ceh-cehs doing promotions on milk and yoghurt drinks, and if I'm lucky, ice cream (Yummy!) and I get to taste the samples.

So now you know why I love going to JUSCO!
